Welcome to the Tigard Festival of Balloons

June 25-27,2027 | Cook Family Park | Tigard, Oregon

The Tigard Festival of Balloons is more than balloons — it's a three-day celebration of community, family fun, and unforgettable experiences.

Join us in the pre-dawn hours as hot air balloons launch into the morning sky during the Morning Launches Presetned by Explore Tualatin Valley (weather and pilot permitting). Return at sunset for the spectacular NW Natural Night Glow. Spend the day enjoying live entertainment on the Krista Britton Realtor & Movement Mortgage Main Stage, the Landmark Ford Festival of Cars, artisan vendors, Kids Zone activities, food and beverage vendors, Funtastic Carnival rides and games, and much more.

As a nonprofit community event, TFOB helps raise funds for local organizations while bringing visitors together from across the Pacific Northwest. Every ticket purchased helps support local nonprofit organizations and community programs.

Children ages 6 and under receive free Festival admission.

RETURNING IN 2027 – Hot Air Balloon Flights

TFOB is excited to partner with Portland Rose Balloons as the Festival's Official Ride Provider. Sunrise balloon flights are available throughout Festival weekend and require a separate ticket purchase. More details to come in the spring.

What's the difference?

Hot Air Balloon Flights are full, untethered flights that launch from the Festival grounds and travel with the wind. These experiences require advance ticket purchase through Portland Rose Balloons.
Tethered Balloon Rides are free and take place onsite at the Festival. Balloons remain secured to the ground and rise a short distance into the air. Guests must sign a waiver and wait in line. Availability is first-come, first-served. Tethered balloon rides are FREE with Festival admission only available 6:30am-7:30am (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).

All balloon activities are weather and pilot permitting.

Social media is the first and primary source for all balloon activity announcements. Balloon activity decisions are typically made immediately following the pilot briefing, which occurs shortly before scheduled launch times.
